I think its great fun to play in rivers and do work that makes river recreation a continued possibility. Did you know river otters not only play hard in rivers, they have a great sense of humor? I swam my first rapid at age 8 and I was the only one who liked it. Since then, I've grown more realistic about swimming rapids but I try to be fearless when it comes to defending free-flowing rivers. Other than rivers, I love music, good writing, and community building.
