International Day of Action CelebrationInternational Rivers hosted its own event in Berkeley focused on two spectacular, pristine rivers in Patagonia that are threatened by plans to build major hydro-electric projects. Members of an expedition down the Pascua river shared a slideshow of stunning images and a video of their voyage, and will then had a discussion with local community leaders, environmentalists and activists about affordable energy alternatives to dam-building. Event featured live music with folk singer Dana Lyons and Bay Area Chilean band Los Materos.
