Rupa & The April Fishes

Global alternative band Rupa & The April Fishes will entertain you with their seamless blend of indie-roots-neoclassical-international sounds, creating a bold and cinematic body of music with themes that center around the fluid vagaries of life, love, death and a borderless world.

Conspiracy of Beards

A 30-member a capella male choir that performs exclusively the songs of the legendary poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.Transforming Cohen's simple melodies into complex four or five part harmonies, their sound ranges from tender to robust. One can hear influences of contemporary, jazz, gospel, barbershop, classical and even doo-wop styles in the unique arrangements by chorus members. Using the genius of Cohen's words, the Beards inspire the audience to ponder personal, political and spiritual life throughout the show amid laughter and cheers.

There will also be performances by Santa Cruz's Bravas pra Brasil, an Afro-Atlantic dance group, and 2012 Bay Area Carnaval Queen Ashlee.
Amazing food will be on site for purchase by Hiyaaa and Fist of Flour - so save those taste buds for some truly fantastic street food!

Public Works is located at 161 Erie Street, a smaller street off of Mission between 14th and Duboce in San Francisco.

Public Transit: We encourage attendees to take BART to 16th Street Mission Station and walk 2.5 blocks east to arrive at the venue.

Parking: If you are driving to the venue, please note that there are several events in the neighborhood that night. We have notified a parking garage of our event and there will be an attended lot available 1.5 blocks from the venue (while spots last) at 1370 Stevenson Street, off of Duboce Street. Parking is $15 flat rate for the evening.
